About Arctic Namaste
Between India and the Arctic Circle.
A small, personal host service in Rovaniemi, built by someone who knows both sides.
Our story
Hello, I’m Rakesh.
I’m from India and have made Finland my home. I’m based in Rovaniemi for the 2026–27 winter season, and I started Arctic Namaste because I know what Indian families need to enjoy Lapland: warmth, familiar food and someone who understands them.
Lapland’s activity operators are world class. What Indian guests sometimes miss is the small things: an explanation in their own language, a meal they can eat without asking twice, and someone who understands why the whole family wants to travel together, from grandparents to toddlers.
We brief and support guests in Hindi, Telugu, Nepali and English, and work alongside the local operators who run Lapland’s activities.
